I have acted and advised in a number of significant commercial disputes and regularly appear as counsel before the courts and in arbitrations and mediations in such matters. One of the most challenging roles was when I was responsible for leading a team of lawyers advising in relation to the resolution of the claims arising from the 1998 Auckland Power Crisis. I have a particular interest in contract law and the interpretation of commercial contracts - the area in which most commercial disputes arise.
