I have acted as counsel across a wide range of disputes since being called to the Bar in 1981. My court work has ranged from criminal jury trials to appellate advocacy in civil and commercial matters in the Privy Council and the High Court of Australia (see CV). In addition to work as trial and appellate counsel, I have a wide range of experience in the arbitration and mediation of disputes. My experience in the resolution of disputes includes advising on the resolution outside the courts of the broad range of claims which arose from the 1998 Auckland Power Crisis. I am admitted as a barrister in Australia, England and Wales as well as in New Zealand. I have a passion for the law in both its academic form and in its practical application and enjoy putting knowledge into practice to get results for clients. | |||
